1st Week of this Project: Project Roll Out

Please note many of your projects will require alternate photos, as these stock photos are shot pretty straight on and your projects may require photographs from different angles and various lighting scenarios.

- Receive hard copy of the project packet, rubric, & your self evaluation!
- Examine previous project examples while observing various ways to update your newly created Digital Portfolio!
- As 4 Separate Digital Art Classes we will work collaboratively to design & create 1 single Google Form to send out to ALL Animas High School Staff. We will observe the data and brainstorm various "Teacher Creatures" to feature in an AHS Staff Calendar or a Stand Alone Poster.

- Brainstorm Sections need to be filled out entirely

- Check in with teacher responses on the spreadsheet (linked above) to get inspired and get your ideas flowing.
- Pick a MONTH of the YEAR to be your overall theme and get going on your project!
NEXT:
What to do FIRST on your classroom computer:
- Log in to your Google Drive File Stream
- Create a "Teacher Creature" Folder in your Digital Art Folder on the Google Drive File Stream
- Inside that new "Teacher Creature" Folder, Create an "Internet Images" Folder for you to save any web images to
BASIC STEPS TO EVERYTHING ON THIS PROJECT:
- Make a selection using the appropriate selection tool (marquees, quick/magic wand, lassos, masks, etc)
- Refine the Edge (Alt +Ctrl + R) of that selection accordingly
- Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V) onto the Teacher Creature document
- Size the copied image proportionately (Ctrl + T)
- Use various tools and processes to make it look "right" (ie image adjustments, eraser tools, filters, etc.)
2nd & 3rd Week of Project: Self Evaluation of Current Process

- NOV.29th - Welcome back to the Project!
- TEACHER PRESENTATION: New Ways to Use Text/Font in Art
- Check your Project Size - Is it 8.5 X 14 300p/i OR 14 X8.5 300 p/i ???
- TEACHER PRESENTATION: New Ways to Use Text/Font in Art
- Each Day, read over the Rubric. Determine where your skills currently are and where you'd like to end up.
- Be ready for final project Peer Critique next Monday! Projects are DUE: 4/27/2021
- Check your image size. Under the Image Tab, click on Image Size. Is it 8.5 X 14 @ 300 Resolution??? If not, call me over ASAP.
4th Week of this Project: Final Steps of this Project
Dec. 6 - Dec.10, 2021
WHEN you are FINISHED FINISHED take these steps:
- SAVE AS your project titled - "Teacher Creature FINAL yournamehere" PSD (in order to see/access your layers)
- SAVE AS again your project titled - "Teacher Creature FINAL yournamehere" JPEG (in order to upload and share images)
- From the internet Browser, SHARE your entire TEACHER CREATURE FOLDER WITH ME. ***Make sure viewing permissions are set to edit so that I may make any necessary changes
- Fill out your copy of the project Rubric (found in your packet) and decide your acquired skills based off of your final process.
- Roxy will print your project and then you give it to the teachers you "creatured" :)
- Fill out the Self Evaluation on Paper (Paper Copy handed out in class & linked below) to determine your Final Grade.
- DP updates will take place online during Thursday's class (12/10)
