The 9th grade class is currently working on a Space Settlement Film project where they are tasked with designing a sustainable settlement for the human race to live in space, and a film to communicate said design.
The Biosphere 2 was/is an extraordinary science experiment that kept eight scientists inside a closed system (including all the biomes of planet Earth) for two years to see if life could be sustained. The experiment was largely driven by the desire for humans to colonize space. Now, the Biosphere 2 is owned and operated by Arizona State University, which has one of the best Space Science programs in the nation.
