Basic Types of Light Covered in this tutorial:
- Hard Light - Small but powerful light source. EX: Sun appears small because it is so far away.
- HIGH CONTRAST, SHARP HARD EDGE SHADOWS, REVEALS TEXTURE
- Soft Light - Large apparent surface area. EX: Sun shining through a blanket of clouds.
- LOW IN CONTRAST, HARDLY ANY SHADOWS AT ALL. CAN LOOK QUITE DULL OR DRABBY
- Transmitted Light - Can see the light source in the photo. EX: Often appears in sunset/sunrise photography
- Reflected Light - Light used indirectly by "bouncing" it off another surface
- Golden Hour (Magic Hour) - 1/2 before & after sunset/sunrise
