Last Week's (5/4 - 5/8) Objectives:
CHANGES TO WHAT I STATED BEFORE:
Objectives for this Week:
- I decided to combine the Mid-Project Check In with the Final Feedback Session. It is now up to you to schedule either a Mid-Project Check in OR a Final project Feedback session with me by MAY 13th. Although in a real classroom setting, you would still be required to get feedback mid way and feedback when you are finished. That's generally good practice in Art.
- DUE: PROJECTS need to be posted on your DP's by Sunday May 17th (instructions for DP updates will roll out the week of May 11th).
Objectives for this Week:
- EMAIL ME to set up a critique/feedback session on what you currently have created and/or produced for this project. Meetings need to be set up by May 6th, but actually need to be completed by May 15th.
- Keep enhancing those art skills by thoroughly diving into your projects. Remember the power of your own curiosity. If you get stuck I encourage you to research more about your topic but otherwise you should be in full on Project Work Mode.
- Have you filled out the Progress Tracker lately? Make sure that is updated with your current topic, professional inspiration,m research, and whether or not you have set up a critique/feedback meeting with me.
- Remember, Art is a Vehicle for Communication. What are you saying to the rest of the world with the skills you are gaining throughout this project and every time you create a work of art?
Please use the Progress Tracker (linked on the right) to accurately document your process through this incredibly Independent yet gloriously independent student choice project!

It is hard to start a film project without digesting all six parts I've identified as crucial "film making basics". How can you begin your storyboard without even knowing what is possible with intro credits? Credits set the stage for you film! It's just hard to plan without considering all parts. You may see something in Part 6 that ultimately has you start a different way. Breathe.
- By the end of NEXT WEEK (4/20 - 4/24) you will need to turn in a well thought out story board or a script for your film.
What you needed to do the week of 4/6 - 4/10:

- Answer the following prompt, What is something you are passionate about and wish to share your message with the world? Can you back it up with science and facts? Share and discuss your idea(s) with your parents. What could you film while maintaining social distance?
- Email me to set up a one on one idea/brainstorm conference with me if you are struggling - otherwise, wait until next week to schedule.
- By FRIDAY - Visit/Read/Digest Part 1 & Part 2 (linked below student examples) of this project. Know what is possible!
What you needed to do the week of 3/30 - 4/3:
- Browse through past AHS student examples linked below.
- Notice what you already deliberately choose to watch/consume on TV, the internet, and on your go go gadget(s)!
- Prepare Questions for our Google Chat that you may have about this project ahead of time!
- Attend our Google Chat on Thursday, April 2nd @ 1:00 PM (Back to Digital Art Foundations page for Chat login links & info)
PROJECT GOAL: I want you to create a film in "response" to what is important to you right now. It can but does not need to relate to the Covid - 19 Virus. The TOPIC of your film is entirely up to you.
