Advanced Digital Art Daily Objectives:
8/30 Thursday - Reading and Annotating Skills
Finish these steps from Tuesday's Class:
1. Copy and Paste text and images ("Ctrl/Command A" selects all) from websites into Microsoft Word documents. Here you will have to delete ads and weird website coding. Make sure you add the URL large and in red in the Header section of your word document. This simple organizational step will allow for easy cutting, pasting, attaching information onto post its and rearranging with other sources.

8/29 Tuesday - Developing and Refining Research Skills
TO DO List Today:
1. Login to Classroom Computers - Open 5 new blank documents in Microsoft Word while you wait for everyone else to settle in.
2. Research your artist further by googling your artist's name. Pick 5 different Internet resources and 1 video/documentary, in addition to your hard copy source to count as your research articles.

- 1 hard copy (magazine, art history book, biography, dictionary, newspaper, etc...)
- 5 Internet Websites (online magazines, journals, blogs, wikipedia, etc...)
- 1 Video/Documentary about the artist, style, or art movement/era the artist identifies with.
8/28 Monday - Jumping into the Digital Artist Inspiration Project
- Get Inspired - Look at least 3 hard copy materials before going onto the Internet. *Need at least 1 hard copy source for research pts. Ask for help if you can't make the connection
- Fill out & turn in Digital Artist Inspiration Quick Fact Sheet about your chosen inspirational Digital Artist.
- Fill out Tech Pre/Post Self Evaluation and turn into me before the end of class.

We need your help getting the word out. Attached please find a flyer for your students and parents. Three prizes will be awarded at the CWSCF College Admissions Officers' Brunch October 1st from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. First prize will be a week long photography workshop at Anderson Ranch; second prize is a Mentor Day with National Geographic photographer Pete McBride; and third place is a piece donated by Kate Holstein, Conde Nast Traveler and Cereal Magazine photographer.
